  • Toronto, Canada: March 26-29, 2010

    TorontoToronto is recognized as one of the world’s most culturally diverse city filled with a great array of stories of people in all stages and circumstances of life. Join with other individuals to experience faith and life formation through a variety of formal and informal city moments. The group’s days and nights will be filled with purposeful interaction with the city and its people. This will be done by strolling the streets, listening to new and old sounds, dialoguing with friends, sharing in moments of grace and worship, seeing the face of Jesus in a little child or a homeless man – and seeking to be the face of Jesus to each person encountered. Cost of the trip is $275 plus meals while on the road. Applications are due by March 4, 2010.

  • New York City: Various Dates (Spring Break)

    Spend two days working with New York City Relief’s food delivery bus ministry that serves the poorest neighborhoods in metro New York City.  The bus ministry brings emergency food to the hungry and homeless on the streets, while also connecting them to job training, drug rehab, housing, and food pantries. Cost of the trip is $600.

  • Ukraine: July 6-17, 2010 (Senior High Students Only)

    Outreach_Ukraine STTPartner with the staff of Mission to Ukraine, a Frontline Ministry of Grace, to provide a camp experience for children with disabilities and their families in Zhitomir, Ukraine. The camp includes creative worship and Bible teaching, small group interaction, crafts, and games. Disabled children have been unwanted and isolated in Ukrainian society for many years. MTU is attempting to reverse this trend by operating a comprehensive program for the disabled that includes physical, play and occupational therapy in addition to medical assistance, spiritual and academic mentoring, and the summer camp program that this trip is helping with. Cost of the trip is $2,400. Applications are due by March 31.

    **This trip requires a special Student Ministries application that is available from the trip leader or Student Ministries office.

  • Cartagena, Colombia : July 17-24, 2010

    Outreach_Bridges of Hope InternationalTravel to Cartagena to visit micro-enterprising start-ups, prisons, and hospitals. The team will also help with outreach events at local churches, construction, eyeglass clinics, and sports activities with youth at risk. Cost of the trip is $1,645. This trip is done in partnership with Bridges of Hope International, a Frontline Ministry of Grace.

  • Nairobi, Kenya: July 23-August 1, 2010

    Outreach_Nairobi Tanari STTPartner with Tanari International, a Frontline Ministry of Grace, by putting on a camp for children who would not ordinarily go to camp at Tanari’s summer camp, Camp Malta. Christian youth camps are a vital part of Tanari’s ministry of providing young people who are the future of Africa opportunities to have personal encounters with God, others, nature and themselves. The team will also do basic landscaping and repair work at the school adjacent to the camp. These projects will be done in conjunction with parents of children who attend the school. Cost of the trip is $2,900. Trip applications are due April 1.

  • Japan: July 23-August 2, 2010

    Partner with Frontline Missionaries, Steve & Janet Kunnecke, to put on an English day camp for Japanese children, ages 5-10, using stories from the Bible. This camp serves as a way to connect families to the church and introduce them to Jesus for the first time. Helping with camp involves building sets, writing and performing skits, leading worship, and developing and teaching curriculum. Evenings will be spent visiting house churches, Bible studies, and families in the church for times of focused prayer. Cost of the trip is approximately $2,000. Trip applications are due by February 26.

  • Bogota, Colombia: September 11-18, 2010

    Spend time with inmates at a local men’s prison, show compassion to those with AIDS, build a house for a local family, and share the transformational power of Christ with youth. This trip will be done in conjunction with Bridges of Hope International, a Frontline Ministry of Grace, and members of partner churches in Bogota and will help teach church members how to reach out to the least of these in their city. Cost of the trip is $1,695. Applications are due by June 11.

Trips Preparing for Travel (No Longer Accepting Applications)

  • San Salvador, El Salvador: March 13-20, 2010 (Trip Full)

    El SalvadorFocus on the generational cycle of poverty in San Salvador by doing home construction, distributing food, and putting on an eyeglass clinic and one day family camp with VBS style programming. The team will also visit a maximum security prison, children’s hospital, and senior citizens home. Each project will done in conjunction with a group of ex-gang members/drug dealers who are new believers which will provide mentoring opportunities. Cost of the trip is $1,550. This trip is done in partnership with Bridges of Hope International, a Frontline Ministry of Grace.

  • Chichicastenango, Guatemala: April 2-10, 2010 (Trip Full)

    Outreach_Guatemala April 2009

    Partner with Matt and Leslie Capehart with Missions Frontier, a Frontline Ministry of Grace, by building relationships with the people of Chichicastenango, Guatemala. The team will be building houses for widows, working with children, and staffing rural health clinics throughout the valley. This is a great family trip over spring break. The team is in need of medical professionals as well, especially dentists and oral surgeons. For more information visit http://gccguatemala2010.wordpress.com. Cost of this trip is $1,900.   • San Salvador, El Salvador: June 19-26, 2010 (trip full)

    Spend time with children at Exodo, a Christian orphanage for 40 children located in San Salvador. Exodo’s mission is restore these children by providing them a safe environment where they can go to school, receive psychological counseling if needed, learn about God, and be loved by house parents. Part of the team will be doing maintenance projects such as painting and bathroom renovations.  The other part of the team will be doing VBS activities at the orphanage, speaking at the local public school the children attend, and doing puppet shows and dramas at a special needs school in the community. Cost of the trip is $1,550. This trip is done in partnership with Hands of Hope, a Frontline Ministry of Grace.
