Books have a way of impacting our views and the way we choose to live our lives. Sometimes a book can take us to places we've never been and help us see with new eyes. We'll be recommending books on a regular basis and will gather to discuss what we've been reading.

The Good and Beautiful God
Tuesday evening, November 16th, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Our reactions and responses to everyday life, whether related to inconvenience or major loss, are expressions of our deepest beliefs about God, ourselves and the world. Did you know it is possible to have real peace, a heart filled with love, and hope that endures through all circumstances? The kind of faith that sees everything – our successes and failures in light of God’s governance for good?
Living our days with this type of faith requires unearthing subtle, false understandings about God and ourselves that we have adopted over time. Do you find yourself believing things like: God is distant and disconnected from the world; Trying harder is what God wants from me; Suffering and difficulties are God’s way of punishing me; All the good things in life come from what I do or don’t do; God is mad at me; He loves everyone else but me? In this book, you will have the opportunity to compare what you believe about God and yourself to His real character, and you’ll be able to begin to move beyond those things that constrict your relationship with God.
